Everybody who comes to Bali should have not missed to visit the Gili Islands, which belong to Northern Lombok territory, with their outstanding white sandy beaches and a fantastic marina life with great diving opportunities.
Especially Gili Air, with a patrol shipwreck, sunk in World War 2 and lying in a depth of 45 meters, became a dive spot attracting marina life fanatics from all over the world.

What makes the Gilis so special is that you can't find any motorized vehicle on the island. Sinc they have been banned from these outstanding islands, push-bikes and horse drawn carriages are the main public transportation.

How to go to Gili Islands (and back)?
The best way is to go there by fast boat. The lifts with Marina Srikandi’s Fast Boats take about 1.5 hours. The very new and luxurious fast boats, built in 2010, leave 3 times a day from Padang Bai. Get on board at 9am, 1pm or 2 pm.
The boats leave the Gili Islands at 8 am, noon and 3 pm.
Those who would like to explore Lombok leave with Marina Srikandi from Padang Bai at 9am or 2 pm.
